Surrey and Berkshire, United Kingdom Full time £42,000

We are Ascenti. The leading provider of physiotherapy and mental health services- helping thousands of people to elevate their health and live active lives every day.

With more than 25 years’ experience serving both the public and private sectors, we are industry leading experts and passionate believers in our distinct clinical philosophy, because we know how it works and see first-hand how it helps people every day.

Your purpose

Being an Ascenti Physiotherapist is a huge privilege as you will be changing people’s lives every day. As a Senior Regional Physiotherapist, you will support patients when they are most in need by providing continuity of care when their usual therapist is away. This will prevent unnecessary delays to their care and will help to maximise their rehabilitation outcomes. Additionally, you will facilitate the wellbeing of your physiotherapy colleagues by providing cover that allows them to have time off when needed.

Using contemporary and evidence-informed treatment and management methods, you will have the technology, tools, and support needed to thrive as a clinician and deliver outstanding services to patients.

Our nationwide work varies, which means that you could be managing a range of patients, from office workers and private medical insurance customers to NHS patients and those referred for accident-related injuries. It is an exciting time to join Ascenti as our award-winning virtual physiotherapy service is really taking off, so there may also be the opportunity or need for you to work from home to deliver these services.

You will work closely with other physiotherapists and mentors in your geographical area, and you will be joining our nationwide community of 300+ Ascenti clinicians who use our modern online tools to stay connected.

You will work independently and free from paper and red tape, but with support on hand every step of the way, cutting-edge technology, and our award-winning clinical development resources at your fingertips.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a clinical caseload of patients presenting with a variety of conditions and goals who are under the care of Ascenti’s static physiotherapists, ensuring that their care remains consistent both in frequency and in management approach.

  • Use our digital health tools and rehabilitation app to prescribe patients with online resources and home-exercise and management programmes after your appointment.
  • Manage high quality patient notes, future appointments, PROMS (Patient Reported Outcome Measures) and compliance using our advanced patient workflow system.
  • Utilise and provide effective patient handovers for the patients that you cover to achieve continuity of care and excellent patient experience and outcomes.

  • Complete core physiotherapy training modules on time and uphold these standards across all that you do.
  • Ensure that you comply with all legal, regulatory, and governance requirement at all times, following the Ascenti Behaviour at work policy.
  • Adhere to Ascenti procedures and policies regarding health and safety and clinic standards.
  • Work closely with your manager to identify and manage any risks that may affect quality of care or service.
  • Contribute and participate in local service improvement by making suggestions, proposals, supporting implementation/change, and completing the audit cycle to close the loop.
  • Comprehensive understanding and use of the best available evidence to support your practice, and that of less experienced physiotherapists within and beyond your immediate team.
  • Utilise the support of our Clinical Development Team and your regional training and mentor leads to collaborate on any complex cases and advance your practice.
  • Use our award-winning clinical development resources, including our online training platform, to elevate your knowledge and stay on top of best practice.
  • Attend regular online and offline courses and events that will contribute to your development as a practitioner and keep up-to-date records of your CPD achievements.

Looking to advance your career in MSK physiotherapy?

Join Ascenti, the nation’s most loved independent MSK physiotherapy provider and a trusted partner to hundreds of public and private sector organisations across the UK.

Build your career

You are at the start of your career and know that musculoskeletal physiotherapy is your calling.

In this role you will treat a 100% MSK caseload and will benefit from award-winning learning and development that’s tailored to you, and designed to help you master your skills in clinic.

We’ve been called the best place for physios to develop beyond university, and if you aspire to run your own MSK practice one day, then working at Ascenti can set you up for life.

Guaranteed progression

Being an MSK Physiotherapist is hard work and rewarding, and you want to know that your salary and role will develop where you work.

At Ascenti, you will benefit from a guaranteed annual pay review and considerable investment in your development, which includes protected learning time.

Once you are 3 years post-qualified and have reached a key progression milestone, you will receive a promotion to Senior MSK Physiotherapist and enjoy a significant salary step change, more autonomy in clinic and new career offerings.

Support structure

Build your experience with the support of your Area Manager, Physiotherapy Development Lead and Clinical Mentor. You will work independently in clinic, but you will never be alone.

You won’t have to worry about doing all the administrative tasks and can say goodbye to old-fashioned paper notes. Ascenti’s digital systems and dedicated customer hub will take care of patient queries and support you with admin.

Join a great company and culture

You want to use your valuable time and skills working for a business that puts patients first. Half of Ascenti's Executive Board are physiotherapists by background, which keeps the needs of patients and clinicians at the heart of the company ethos (just check the Trustpilot reviews).

Ascenti has seen a 300% increase in demand for the company's leading MSK services in recent years, including significant growth in the Private Medical Insurance space. This means that we are currently offering many exciting new roles and career avenues.
