Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy helps to improve the lives of millions in the UK. Ascenti is at the forefront of providing the best MSK treatment to the nation as the leading UK-wide provider. With a strong reputation for investing in the development and career progression of clinicians, Ascenti is at the forefront of providing the best development and training opportunities to physiotherapists beyond university in the UK.

      Develop into an APP

As an accomplished MSK physiotherapist practitioner with more than 3 years’ experience, you are now looking to develop into an Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner (APP) role and want to work for a business that understands how important Continued Professional Development (CPD) is to you.

An Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APP) is a clinician working at an advanced level across all four pillars of advanced practice at master's Level. It is often considered to be a pinnacle role in physiotherapy and can be a gateway to learning other skills such as injection therapy and prescribing.

In this role you will work as an MSK physiotherapist but will be on the company’s developing APP pathway, meaning you will benefit from significant investment in your training and development to become an APP as part of Ascenti’s award-winning clinical development programme. Working as a developing APP will provide you with great variety day to day, as you will have some days focussing on assessing, diagnosing, and signposting patients when in your advanced clinics and then other days treating patients when in your non-advanced MSK clinics.

      Progress step by step

You will have three APP development routes to choose from, ranging from the more academic routes to portfolio options, and once you pass key milestones your salary will increase. Most physiotherapists will complete the Ascenti APP development pathway in around 12 – 36 months, depending on the route chosen and the individual.

When you join you will agree a development plan aligned with the Ascenti APP roadmap and will have dedicated time to check in with your supervisors regularly.

You will also attend special support sessions and will connect with existing Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners and other developing APPs across Ascenti, enabling you to learn as part of a group dynamic.

      Be your best in clinic

Working as a developing APP you will have plenty of autonomy in your role, but with the support of your Area Manager and Clinical Mentor every step of the way. You will always have someone to speak to as part of a friendly and dynamic team with approachable management.

Ascenti has a team of staff at their customer hub who manage appointments and deal with customer queries and admin, giving you more time to focus on patients in clinic. Day-to-day you will also use modern and award-winning tech tools to manage your patient caseload.

      Great benefits and rewards

Join Ascenti and you will enjoy a great benefits package with a range of hours options such as flexible, part-time and condensed hour '4 day weeks', along with 25 days' holiday (+bank holidays), enhanced family (mat & pat) leave, Vitality at Work membership, free and discounted healthcare services and many other perks and rewards.

We are Ascenti. The leading provider of physiotherapy and mental health services- helping thousands of people to elevate their health and live active lives every day.

With more than 25 years’ experience serving both the public and private sectors, we are industry leading experts and passionate believers in our distinct clinical philosophy, because we know how it works and see first-hand how it helps people every day.

      Your purpose

Being an Ascenti Physiotherapist is a huge privilege as you will be changing people’s lives every day. As a Senior Regional Physiotherapist, you will support patients when they are most in need by providing continuity of care when their usual therapist is away. This will prevent unnecessary delays to their care and will help to maximise their rehabilitation outcomes. Additionally, you will facilitate the wellbeing of your physiotherapy colleagues by providing cover that allows them to have time off when needed.
