The role in brief:

An opportunity has arisen to join the cloud team as a senior adviser. As part of the cloud team, you will be part of a growing team that provides cloud based accountancy services to clients all over the world.

Who we are looking for:

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a approx. 5 years practice experience and an active interest in cloud-based software (especially Xero). The role would be great for someone looking to excel their skills and career by being part of a progressive team. We would like someone who works well as part of a team and enjoys mentoring and supporting junior team members.

What the role involves:

• Supervising and reviewing outsourcing tasks carried out by team members, including bookkeeping and payment runs, using a variety of cloud-based software and applications

• Preparation, review and submission of VAT returns

• Preparation of management information and advisory reporting, such as forecasting, budgets and cashflows, in-house and at client's premises

• Preparation and review of year-end accounts

• Preparation and review of corporate tax returns, including analysis of tax-sensitive nominals

• Leading and assisting with cloud accounting projects, such as system conversions and healthchecks

• Training clients in the use of cloud accounting software in-house and at client's premises

• Completing and assisting with the completion of ad hoc tasks and duties typical to cloud accounting services

• Researching and investigating cloud accounting solutions for use in client service delivery, including attending relevant external events where appropriate

• Consideration of income and other personal tax implications

• Being a trusted adviser to our clients, forming excellent relationships

• Being responsible for service delivery, seeking opportunities to add value, suggest and implement efficiencies and improvements

• Assisting with client onboarding tasks and service proposals

• Assisting with internal projects, such as implementation and delivery of software and systems used by the team

• Supervising, mentoring and buddying of less experienced team members, taking an active role in their work and development

• Recognising opportunities for cross-referral to other departments within PM+M • Reporting to and communicating with client managers

• Maintain training and development needs in line with cloud accounting services and skills relevant to the role

An opportunity has arisen to join the audit, accounting and advisory team as a manager.

Who we are looking for:

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who already has significant audit experience, managing a client portfolio with responsibility for technical development within the team, working within an audit or a mixed audit and accounting role, and who is ambitious, seeking to progress and personally develop in their audit career.

What the role involves:

You will be a trusted adviser as part of our audit team, providing an excellent service to a large range of corporate clients and business owners, of which circa 75% of the role will be working on statutory audits. The remaining time will be spent on year-end accounts preparation and ad hoc advisory projects for clients. Your work will be based at clients’ premises, predominantly around Lancashire and Greater Manchester, and in our offices.

We adopt a flexible working policy and so some time may also be spent at home. You will start to have client contact from day one as well as working closely with corporate tax colleagues.

We expect that you will develop a strong internal network across our whole firm, enabling you to deliver expertise and a joined-up experience to your clients as required. Developing strong client relationships as quickly as possible will be paramount.

You will start by building on your existing experience, reporting to directors and partners, delivering high quality audit and accounts files. You will be able to utilise previous experience in ensuring timely reviews of files and being a strong and effective communicator.

You will have experience of preparing and reviewing financial statements prepared in accordance with FRS101, FRS102 and FRS102-1A, and be able to support clients and the team with technical accounting matters. Ideally, you will have experience in undertaking solicitor accounts rules audits.

You will work with a current partner and director to lead and develop this specialism within the audit team. It is important that the individual has an interest in technical development within the team, wants to work within an audit or a mixed audit and accounting role, and is ambitious, seeking to progress and personally develop in their audit career.

What the role involves:

The role in brief:

An opportunity has arisen to join the audit, accounting and advisory team as a senior adviser, in a part or post exam qualified role. This opportunity is on the back of continued growth in our client base.

Who we are looking for:

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who already has significant audit experience working within an audit or a mixed audit and accounting role, and who is seeking to progress and personally develop in their audit career.

What the role involves:

You will be a part of our audit team, providing an excellent service to a large range of corporate clients and business owners, of which circa 75% of the role will be working on statutory audits. The remaining time will be spent on year end accounts preparation and ad hoc advisory projects for clients.

Your work will be based at clients’ premises, predominantly around Lancashire and Greater Manchester, and in our offices. We adopt a flexible working policy and so some time may also be spent at home. You will start by building on your existing experience, reporting to managers, directors and partners and by effectively managing teams to deliver high quality, efficient audits. Developing strong client relationships as quickly as possible will be paramount. You will start to have client contact from day one as well as working closely with corporate tax colleagues.

You will also have responsibility for training and developing less experienced members of the audit team as well as identifying ways in which we can improve quality and efficiency. As your experience grows, you will be able to take responsibility for smaller audits and reporting direct to Responsible Individuals. Beyond that, we expect progression to be to Assistant Manager, Manager and beyond if this is how you wish your career to unfold.

Your development

We provide a complementary range of training opportunities to ensure that you maximise your potential in areas such as becoming a trusted adviser, how to network, presentation skills etc with opportunities for progression around the firm. These will comprise personal effectiveness as well as your technical skills. We have 6 monthly reflect and act conversations to ensure your development is on track, with optional monthly 1-2-1s. You will also have a buddy and opportunity for a mentor. We also encourage you to get involved in wider firm initiatives and have your say on how we can progress on our journey towards being the best North-West firm of finance professionals.
