What is the opportunity?
As a Payroll Tax Analyst you will be responsible for for the timely, accurate, and compliant processing of payroll tax in the US region. Here is a breakdown:
- Review tax filings and payments made by third party provider and ensure they are timely and accurate
- Manage Tax Rates/Tax Code set up within third party provider software • Assist third party with taxing agencies notices/inquires
- Coordinate with third party provider for Wage Attachments/Tax Filing and Reporting • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and W-2 tax reconciliations
- Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with federal and state laws • Maintain SUI rate updates within payroll system
- Work with third party on registration applications for State and Local Income Tax and/or Unemployment Tax IDs
- Maintain and resolve Support Cases related to all tax issues/questions
- Respond to employee inquiries and internal/external audit queries timely and professionally
- Maintain accurate payroll/tax records and comply with the Company's Record Retention policy
- Partner with GL team and assist with all assigned payroll general ledger accounts (i.e., Cash accounts, Tax Liability, Benefits Liability, etc.) and resolve variances timely
- Prepare government required reporting not supported by a third party (i.e., Annual Census Bureau Economic Survey, Bureau of Labor Statistics, etc.)
- Aid other areas in the payroll group during peak times or absences
- Provide analysis and reporting support for internal/external business partner
What will you bring to Omnissa?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Multi-state payroll processing preferred.
- Preferred experience in Federal/State/Local or Provincial labor payroll including garnishments, bonus payments, and special payments.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

This team is led by the Payroll Manager located in Austin Texas. The manager brings over 20 years of payroll experience not only in the US but international payroll as well. He has served as Payroll Manager since day one of Omnissa. The manager encourages and supports professional growth within Omnissa. The team consists of individuals located in the US and India with growth to Costa Rica. Come join this growing Omnissa Payroll team.
