What is the opportunity?:
The Marketing Planning & Reporting Analyst will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and presenting marketing performance reports. The role will also play a critical part in supporting marketing teams as they plan key activities, programs, and campaigns. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of marketing metrics, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planning and Reporting Analyst to join our Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive marketing performance reports, conducting data analysis, and providing insights to drive strategic marketing decisions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support marketing initiatives and optimize resource allocation.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
We're looking for someone who can quickly ramp up and take ownership in the fast-paced environment.
In the first 6 months, you will develop a standard approach and process for creating, analyzing and reporting on key marketing metrics. You will learn about our business and culture, establish relationships with key stakeholders inside and outside of Marketing.
At the one year mark, you will independently manage the planning and reporting processes with Marketing’s cross-functional teams; developing reports, insights and recommendations based on data analysis.The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret marketing data from various sources, including digital marketing channels, CRM systems, and social media platforms.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain regular marketing performance reports, and ad-hoc analyses to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
- Insights Generation: Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize marketing strategies and improve ROI.
- Planning: Assist in planning and executing marketing activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Monitor project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Project Management: Manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within scope. Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and coordination of marketing efforts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing leadership teams to ensure alignment on goals and share relevant findings that impact marketing
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of methodologies, processes, and findings to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
- 4+ years in marketing planning, analysis, or a similar role, often in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in marketing campaign design & measurement.
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and Excel.
- Familiarity with marketing platforms (e.g. Eloqua, SalesForce.com).
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial analysis in a marketing context.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.

This role will report into Senior Manager of Marketing Operations based in the Bay Area, California. The Marketing Operations team is led by Director of Marketing Strategy, Planning & Operations. He has been with the company for over 10 years and believes leadership is not defined by title.
