Job description

To supervise and lead a multi-disciplined team delivering the highest levels of service and support to the Production and Warehouse operations.

Key Focus area is the elimination of any non-value-added time or activity in production supply, maintaining stock accuracy and the accurate recording of all ERP transactions to ensure smooth and seamless operation.

Continuously looking at ways to develop and improve key work processes and develop more efficient ways of stock control.

Responsibilities

  • Management of Production Admin Teams, sign of and checking weekly/ monthly time sheets.
  • Managing team absences, ensuring adequate holiday cover in place.
  • Maintaining adherence to 60 hrs working week and other working hours requirements.
  • Assist in the supervision of the warehouse and stock control development, performance, and maintenance and raising any issues of concerns to senior management team.
  • Making suggestion to improve current processes, which could be rolled out across both sites.
  • Contribute to training and development of the team; rolling out and creating training matrix for the team, ensuring everyone is able to cover all roles and making sure the SOPs are followed.
  • Ensure SOPs are created for any missing procedures and processes.
  • Delegate authority and responsibility to team with supervision, accountability and review output.
  • Assist with daily stock control activities with responsibility for supervising production admin team & stock checkers.
  • Assist Line Manager in achieving comprehensive warehouse and stock control management systems in accordance with organisation plans and compliance and adherence to legislation and agreed regulatory bodies processes and procedures.
  • Collaboration with customer to meet current needs and explore opportunities for mutual benefit.
  • Understanding mass balance and stock traceability for food compliance in order to present during the audit.
  • Completing a mock product recall and stock traceability exercise.
  • Assist Technical department in the Red Tractor audit, TFS audit, BRC audit, Soil Association Organic audit.
  • Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an audit ready environment at all times for the whole team.
  • Ensure the team maintain compliance with our customer standards and BRC food standards.

Qualifications

  • A good standard of education including Maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent relevant qualifications.
  • Previous experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of MS Office including Excel and Word
  • Ability to make confident and effective decisions.
