We’re now looking for a Service Manager – Income Services to join our Customer and Community Services team. If you're someone who is people-focused, is energised by problem solving and building partnerships, and has a real commitment to improving lives, you’ll fit right in here.

About the role

As our new Service Manager, you’ll lead our high-performing Income and Economic Inclusion teams to deliver an outstanding, proactive service for our tenants. This includes supporting them to maximise their income and reduce arrears. You will be focusing on new and and innovative ways to continue to improve on income collection and working with other internal and external teams to ensure our services truly meet the needs of our communities. You’ll also:

  • Lead the Economic Inclusion and Rent Accounting teams with clarity and purpose.
  • Ensure rent is collected effectively and sensitively, preventing arrears before they build.
  • Project manage our annual rent and service charge setting process.
  • Build strong relationships with partners such as Local Authorities, the DWP, credit unions and advice agencies.
  • Use data and insight to drive service improvements and shape future strategy.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Connect to deliver a joined up, person centred service that truly puts tenants first.

This is a role where you’ll have real influence, not only in managing our income services, but in supporting people to sustain their homes, improve their financial wellbeing, and build brighter futures.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is not only knowledgeable, but also, collaborative and enthusiastic.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong experience in income management, welfare benefits, debt advice, or economic inclusion.
  • Experience managing a team and inspiring others to achieve great results.
  • Confidence in working with partners such as Local Authorities, DWP and specialist agencies.
  • An analytical mindset, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and improvements.
  • A genuine commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • A positive approach to working with colleagues and tenants.
