The Opportunity As an Engineering Manager on the Workspace ONE team at Omnissa, you will lead and coach a team of high-performing engineers focused on building innovative features and capabilities for the Workspace ONE UEM platform. In this role, you will:
• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and respectful dialogue.

• Provide technical leadership in designing and developing scalable, enterprise-grade software.
• Champion engineering excellence through continuous improvement in architecture, processes, and team practices.

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a healthy sense of urgency and quality. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll divide your time across three key areas:
• 30%: Hands-on coding and debugging (Python, Go).
• 30%: Architecting and designing enterprise software and cloud services (HLD & LLD).
• 40%: Project and people management. Your responsibilities will include:
• Overseeing engineering projects from inception to delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and scope alignment.
• Managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Providing technical guidance and enforcing best practices in software development and architecture.
• Tracking and analyzing team performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Leading, mentoring, and supporting engineers in their professional growth.
• Fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative team culture.
• Participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborating with stakeholders across Product, Architecture, Security, and Engineering.
• Improving engineering processes including DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD.
• Handling customer and product escalations with effective prioritisation.
Required Qualifications
• Deep hands-on experience in software development with Python and Go on Linux/macOS.
• Strong architectural and design skills for scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions.
• Proven track record of managing and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a passion for mentoring.
• Experience leading teams through the full software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices, including hands-on CI/CD pipeline management.
• Strong collaboration skills for working with distributed, global teams.
• 8–10 years of software engineering experience, including 2–4 years in technical leadership and people management. • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent technical training.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience with: • HashiCorp Stack (Nomad, Consul, Vault, Terraform). • Redis, PostgreSQL, Kafka, OpenSearch. • Strong foundation in Linux internals (file systems, memory, multi-threading). • Experience managing large-scale production deployments. • Hands-on with AWS Cloud services (MSK, Aurora, ElastiCache, OpenSearch). • Working knowledge of infrastructure technologies (OS, networking, databases, storage). • A strong customer-centric mindset focused on delivering high-quality solutions.
Location Bengaluru
Work Model Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
Candidates must reside within a 1-hour commute radius of the office.
Travel Expectations Up to 20% travel, domestic or international, based on business needs.
