Hours of work 37.5 per week (3 x 12.5 hour shifts per week) to include some weekends.

Martin House has been caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions from West, North and East Yorkshire for more than 30 years. Every year we care for more than 420 families at our hospice in Boston Spa, in hospitals and in their own homes. We also support more than 150 bereaved families each year.
This is an exciting opportunity for paid work within our care team in a family centred care environment. We are looking for students who are interested in developing their skills and gaining experience in working with children and young people. You will work alongside our care team, mostly with brothers and sisters of the children we are supporting, and with young people who use our teenage and young adult hospice, Whitby Lodge. You will be expected to work some unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends.

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be 18 by the start of the internship.
