Martin House has been caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions from West, North and East Yorkshire for more than 30 years. Every year we care for more than 420 families at our hospice in Boston Spa, in hospitals and in their own homes. We also support more than 150 bereaved families each year.
Statistics and experience tell us that a number of children with life-limiting conditions are still struggling to access hospice care, despite our existing community services. The overarching purpose of this role is to help us to break down barriers and to reach as many families as possible with a palliative care offer that is right for them.
The successful candidate will have experience of working, engaging and developing projects with families from minority ethnic backgrounds. They will have experience of working with people who have a disability and/or life limiting conditions. It is essential that they speak at least one other language alongside English (e.g. Punjabi/Urdu/Bengali, etc.)

• Want to work in a well-established, award-winning hospice, working as part of the multidisciplinary team to support the children, young people and their families from the time of their referral through to end of life care.
• Have a strong awareness of issues affecting Minority Ethnic communities in relation to caring
