Purpose of Job: To lead the commercial management and strategic development of key customer accounts. This role focuses on driving sale, volume, and margin growth through exceptional category management, collaborative planning, and cross-functional coordination. The Commercial Manager is responsible for delivering best in class service, building commercially beneficial relationships, and unlocking new growth opportunities in line with customer objectives and business targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for the management and strategic growth of key customer accounts.
- Deliver outstanding understanding of your customers, ensuring their expectations are met.
- Develop and implement a compelling category vision, feeding into joint category plans which align with customer goals and market trends.
- Build strong, collaborative, and growth driven relationships with customer commercial, supply chain and technical teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely, product delivery. Facing into sourcing or availability challenges to proactively deliver solution.
- Drive product development initiatives through creative and technical input.
- Deliver performance vs. market insight to develop and deliver data-led strategy. Reviewing consumer trends, competitor activity, and product performance.
- Ensure promotional plans are planned in advance to ensure exceptional execution, maximising sale opportunity.
- Proactively evaluate supply chains to identify cost saving opportunity and improvements in quality/freshness. Resume responsibility for delivering the in-year cost mitigation plan.
- Maintain accurate account and product data across internal systems.
- Liaise with packing partners to ensure service excellence and consistent delivery, electronic as well as physical.
- Support technical escalations, acting as the commercial link between internal and customer-facing teams.
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasting, both weekly and for long-term planning.
- Plan and deliver regular customer meeting reviews. Ensure all next steps are recorded and completed.
- Ensure all administrative, commercial, and financial controls are met and maintained.
- Provide regular sales, margin, and pricing reports, and share relevant market intelligence with internal and external stakeholders as required.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and skilled in handling large data sets and reporting with precision.
- Collaborative communicator who can influence, coordinate and build strong internal and external cross-functional teams
