Objective:

To lead and manage all aspects of the TREND Networks Limited UK & Export finance function whilst ensuring all deadlines are met with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Lead and manage all aspects of the TREND Networks Limited finance functions including GL, AP, AR, Banking, Inventory & Payroll.
2. Responsible for the preparation and review of the P&L and Balance sheet for TREND Networks Limited in an accurate and timely manner – reporting into the Global FC who will consolidate with other companies.
3. Manage the UK & Export Accounts Assistant to ensuring they are developed and motivated.
4. Ensure a smooth internal month and year end close, including managing the UK audit fieldwork process.
5. Ensure that reported results are provided with pace and accuracy in line with company deadlines.
6. Oversee all monthly transactions, journals, accruals & prepayments to ensure accuracy of the monthly/annual accounts.
7. Completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations each month for TREND Networks Limited.
8. Provide monthly/annual management accounts with supporting commentary to CFO and Global FC.
9. Support the Global FC in the annual completion of all statutory financial accounts notes for the company.
10. Manage the timely completion of all VAT & EC Sales/Intrastat calculations & submissions to the various 3rd parties. Ensure full compliance with all regulations and provide information as required.
11. Monitor cashflow and provide weekly forecasts on a 13-week rolling basis.
12. Work with Global FC and FP&A team to monitor inventory and consignment stock (based at subcontract manufacturing partners) and the associated P&L/Working Capital risk.
13. Work with CFO/Global FC to deliver annual budgets and quarterly re-forecasts.
14. Work with all areas of the business to ensure costs are accurately evaluated and budgeted for.
15. Ensure all monthly, quarterly and annual payroll submissions are completed with accuracy and in line with deadlines.
16. Ensure financial policies & procedures are met and best practice is consistently followed in TREND Networks Limited. 17. Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to measure performance and demonstrate continual improvement.
18. Identify and implement process improvements including opportunities to develop the accounting & reporting systems to maximise the value provided to users and provide support for growth plans.

To succeed in this role we would expect you:

- To be a graduate with a recognised accountancy qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ICEAW
- To have a minimum of 5 years in professional accounting roles, either in Industry or practice
- To demonstrate a track record of managing deadlines and statutory submissions
- To be experienced in using an ERP system (we use Navision)
- To be an advanced user of excel To demonstrate the ability to manage multiple activity streams simultaneously
- To have the ability to understand and respond to different tax and regulatory requirements across the global business
- To deliver a high degree of accuracy and a demonstrate a track record of ensuring checks and balances are built into processes
- To have a track record of improving reporting & processes
